About Silvento

I’m happy to see you in my web-site, our web site is the first site in Ukraine about the most amazing breed in the world – Italian Greyhounds. The name of our kennel is – “Silvento“, it is very young kennel, it was registered in FCI in 2007, and as you understood-our main breed is Italian Greyhounds. The name of the kennel “Silvento” was creted by me, it comes from two words Silva + Vento! Silva-was a beautiful dalmatian lady, our little angel, who left us five years ago…and vento it is wind in Italian. Italian Greyhounds first of all are sighthounds, they are clever and fast, fast as the wind, that is why we have chosen the word vento. Now you know what “Silvento” means

Some words about me…

My name is Alina Stakhorska, I’m a young breeder and dogs are my hobby.
I live with a normal life, work in the Ministry of finance of Ukraine and my spare time try to devote to my family and friends, as my dogs are the part of my family-so to them too. From my early childhood I have been living with pets in my home. In my family we had collie-my first dog, who helped me to make my first steps, jagdterriers-they were the passion of my father, as he is the professional hunter, german shepherd dog, drahthaar and dalmatian ladies, yorki and only several years ago I realized that Italian greyhounds are my love…

During 2007-2009 we had only two litters in our kennel, and it was our first litters! It was B-litter of Yorkshire terrier, -3 puppies were born and A-litter of Italian Greyhounds and only one blue puppy-boy was born. When he was born, I just have returned from wonderful Greece, so the puppy got the Greek, long, but very interesting name – Silvento Astraios Greek Titan and it was our first puppy of italian greyhound in the kennel Silvento. Astraios, or how we call him “Astrey” was exported Vilnius (Lithuania).

In 2009 we have only one litter of Italian Greyhounds it is our third  litter – “C” litter of italian greyhounds in our kennel Silvento. And again only one puppy was born it is a blue male Silvento Casadei Cesario – our sweet boy. Casadei was exported to beautiful and old city – Athens (Greece) where he lives in happy family in a big privat house!
In 2010 we got our 4th litter “D” where 3 italian greyhound girls were born. So I want to present you our little Silvento stars: Silvento Diamantine Tenera “Tina” at home – grey girl that went to live to Dnepropetrovsk city. Tina is really show-girl, that was showed first time 2 days before she was 3 months old : ) and got her BestBaby and excellent description from the judge; our second girl from D-litter is Silvento Diamoura Angioletta “Amoura”, – blue girl that was left in our kennel for co-ownership in Kiev; third girl is also blue by color Silvento Diablitta Rubesta “Rubesta”,  sweet-sweet girl that left in Kiev too close to my home.

Italian greyhounds левретка (levretka) in russian, Peque?o Lebrel Italiano or Galgo Italiano-in Spanish, Petit lvrier italien in french, charcik wloski in polish, piccolo levriero italiano in italian and italienisches windspiel in german) are my love for about six years. Also in our flat we have one cat – British Blue – Beatris Solang

I like to visit different dog shows and was in Poznan World Dog Show several years ago as a visitor, it is a great pleasure to look after Italian greyhounds in the ring in move.

But italian greyhounds are only my hobby, so we don’t have a lot of dogs and litters in the kennel
